Epilepsy, Also Known As Seizure Disorder (Enrollment Closed)According to the Epilepsy Foundation of America, about two and a half million people in the US have a seizure disorder, known as epilepsy. It can develop at any time during a person's lifetime. The cause of epilepsy is usually unknown, but can develop from a brain injury that caused damage to brain cells. [People with epilepsy can have seizures that affect awareness, movement or sensation.]Our practice is conducting a research study for patients who have been newly diagnosed with epilepsy. This study will help determine whether an approved medication safely and effectively helps prevent epileptic seizures. Qualified individuals must:
