NEWS AND CALENDAR

To balance out our research and treatment programs, CNS has long provided an array of support services for patients and their families. This is based on the realization that persons with chronic, incurable neurologic disease often feel isolated and perhaps forgotten. To respond to this, CNS sponsors a distinguished speaker series, distributes educational materials, maintains an Internet Web Site and furnishes limited financial support to needy patients. Our support group provides a comfortable setting for patients to explore the ups and downs of living with a neurologic disorder. As a matter of philosophy, CNS' group is open to any person with a degenerative neurologic condition. Participants are encouraged to help their peers through difficult times, reflecting the belief that patients are uniquely qualified to understand and act on matters of health.
