The Center for Neurologic Study is enrolling patients for a phase 1 study to determine the safety and pharmacokinetic profile of an antisense therapeutic that targets the expression of SOD 1, the mutated enzyme responsible for one form of familial ALS. This drug was developed in collaboration with UCSD and Isis pharmaceutical corporation.
